Classes

The classes page allows you to maintain the simulation's blueprints, the specifications for all types of objects. If you create a class with the type TABLE, the Object Profiler will create a new database table for you to store all objects described by the new class. This direct linkage between objects and the underlying database decreases simulation development time.

Properties

The properties page allows you to manage the properties of each object. The basis of all simulation events is the manipulation of property values, which decribe the behavior and state of each object. If you create a persistent property, the Object Profiler will create the associated field in the underlying database table for you.

Property Values

Some properties may have a finite number of values they can take on, such as status indicators. The Property Values page allows you to maintain these discrete values where appropriate. The Object Editor often uses property values to populate drop-down boxes located on data entry forms, providing a robust, fault-tolerent user interface.

Object Types

Object types provide a logical, hierarchical organization to the simulation's objects which is independent from other systems within MUDzilla. This allows the simulation's exact context to shape the object type tree. All MUDzilla classes have a default object type, which defines the root of a subtree that includes all types of objects of the specified class.

Class Browser

The Class Browser displays all the simulation's classes within a tree diagram. When you select a class from the tree, the Classes page updates to reflect your choice, making the Class Browser an easy way to locate classes.

Class Groups

Class Groups are used to loosely organize the simulation's classes by functional group. An embedded help manual generator for the MUDzilla Class Library uses class groups to create an index page which groups objects together by class group.
